Stamping is a type of precision sheet metal enclosure fabrication that is a process in which a sheet of a mold is subjected to a deformation force directly in a mold by a conventional or special stamping apparatus and deformed to obtain a product part having a certain shape, size, and performance. Sheets, molds and equipment are the three elements of stamping.
1. Flanging, also known as pumping and turning, is to draw a slightly larger hole on a smaller base hole, and then tapping, mainly using sheet metal with a relatively thin plate thickness. It increases its strength and number of turns to avoid slipping.
2. Punch: Punch is a processing process that uses mold forming. Generally, blanking, punching and convex (bump), forming and other processing methods are available.
3. Pressure riveting: The riveting mainly consists of rivet nuts, screws, loose plugs, etc. It is completed by hydraulic riveting machine or punching machine, riveting it to the sheet metal part, and the riveting method is required.
4. Bending: Bending is to fold a 2D flat piece into a 3D part. The processing needs to be completed with a folding bed and a corresponding bending mold, and it also has a certain bending sequence. The principle is that the first fold does not interfere with the next knife, and the back fold of the interference will occur.
